Chris Hayes, iOS Developer of Hashtap
As an Entrepreneur, Social Media Marketer, and iOS Developer, Chris’ passion is giving people the ability to access the vast knowledge and resources available in online communities. During high school, Chris spent three of his four years attending Southwestern Michigan University, where he began to develop an interest in business and technology. After graduating high school in 2007, he went on to attend Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs, with concentrations in both Management and Marketing.
Aside from marketing internships during college, most of Chris’ marketing experience comes from working for Columbia Sportwear. During his time with Columbia Sportswear, Chris spearheaded one of their largest marketing tours in 2013. In addition to coordinating with key accounts, various athletes, and sports franchises, Chris spent significant time and effort managing brand ambassadors, preparing for major events—like MLB and Triathalon events—and delivering key performance indicators and information to Columbia’s marketing executives.
He has helped manage and build two mobile applications—the latest being Hashtap, an iOS application that gives its users access to a real-time search engine that finds relevant, trending Instagram #hashtags for their posts.
